Octomob

Octopuses deserve respect, or they will unite and squish us all. Well, on another hand, they taste awesome. Did you know that octopuses taste things with their tentacles ? That'd be an amazing power to have, I'd love to taste things with my fingers, well, until I have to scratch my nose or anything else... ok, let's forget about that one...

Petit Yeti

As a kid, I clearly remember this French ice cream called 'Yeti' (fairly similar to Mr.Freeze, actually). I used to love the white one, anise flavor I think. It probably laid out a lot of the groundwork for my future love of Pastis, that French alcohol. Well, thinking about it, everyone drinks Pastis in the South of France. Anyway, I'm not sure if the aforementioned story has anything to do with this sketch - apart for the name maybe...

Metaluna

"la dernière séance" was a French TV program I used to watch as a kid in the 80's - they used to play old movies all the time, including old science fiction flicks. I'm not sure why, but images from 'This island Earth" just popped out of my head this week, and especially the charismatic Metaluna mutant thingy. Go figure.

Surprise guest

I sadly didn't really have time to sketch anything this week (my rocky life got in the way). So I 'recycled' a drawing I originally did for Halloween last year, and colored it.

Here comes 2011 and my first sketch of the year - I did a bit more work on this one and ended up with a color version. It was kind of fun, reminded me the time when I used to paint with inks, I'll probably do more of these in the future. I wanted to post something before, but I was on vacation in France and I've been cultivating my jet lag since I got back - sort of a bad excuse, really, I could have got my pencils out rather than watching movies, but my brain was in a fog and refused to answer my calls.
